Update - I'm moving
Kia ora o hoa,
I'm moving back to Palmerston North at the start of November. So, I've been swamped saying goodbye to people and organising the shift.
In parallel, I've been working on a few projects:
An article about my old school's teaching methods.
An application called nutrify is used to collect food image data to be later used to build a machine learning model. The original idea is from Daniel Bourke. But the aim is to work in collaboration.
I've also signed up for Ali Abdaal's Part-time Youtube Academy. I've always been interested in growing an online presence. So first with this newsletter, second will be with video content.
On Building an Online Presence
The Online Presence will be the next thing. School prestige is already being gleamed, and degrees are becoming expensive pig skins.
Employers and people you may potentially work with will want to see your work. Instead of looking at the C.V., they search your name online.
The online portfolio, published content become important — proof or near-proof of actual work.
And this is what I have been working on with this newsletter. The plus is that others gain value. The next stage is video content.
Talk to you all later. And I'm hoping everyone able is getting vaccinated.
Ngā mihi nui,
Shivan
